There is a variety of subcategories you can use to classify the various types of drones out there today, but for the most part, they can be sorted into one of two categories. There are those capable of causing serious damage to both people and property, and then there’s everything else.
As a rule, the kind of drones on sale to the general public fall in that second category, while the ones owned by the government mostly fall into the first.
However, people have been modifying innocuous objects to make them more dangerous for as long as objects have been invented.
It turns out throwing a few Roman candles on a consumer drone and holding target practice with people on the ground has the potential to take things to a whole new level.
It’s probably not the safest thing in the world, but that’s never stopped anybody before.
