This Man Indirectly Got His Brother’s Wife Pregnant After Joke Backfired

Brothers play pranks on each other all the time, right? It’s just not often that one of those pranks leads to an accidental pregnancy…

As Reddit user Fringetold, he and his brother lived together in Toronto. His brother’s wife was at university in New York, and the two didn’t see each other all that often.

So, when one weekend she was coming for a visit, Fringe’s brother asked that he give them some space: maybe go stay at a friend’s for the weekend. And being the good brother that he is, Fringe happily obliged. Just not before leaving them a little present:

“We have a board in the kitchen where we pin stuff, so I left him a note that said happy birthday big bro, have fun and I also pinned a condom and a $50 bill to the board.

As a joke, I put three thumbtacks through the condom. My brothers a smart dude, so I figured he would see the condom has three thumbtacks, laugh, and throw it away. I thought wrong.

A little over a month later my parents are over and my brother makes an announcement. He tells us that he is moving to Buffalo to live with his wife, who is now pregnant.

I knew that he didnt want to have kids until he was at least 40, so after the announcement I pulled him aside to congratulate him and ask for details.

He told me the baby wasnt planned, but when he had sex with his wife on his birthday, the condom broke.”

Luckily, Fringe’s brother saw the funny side when he found out what had happened, and revealed that he’d realised that deep down, he did want kids.

Somebody give this man an uncle of the year award… Without him his niece/nephew would never have even been created..
