An Indiana couple flies Southwest Airlines so frequently that they even decided to marry mid-flight.
Keith Stewart and Dottie Coven exchanged vows on the airline’s first nonstop flight from Nashville to Dallas Love Field on Sunday, reading their vows off smartphone screens.
The couple had contacted Southwest months earlier, letting the company know that they wanted to be married on an airplane.
Because the pair flies frequently, they had enough Rapid Rewards points to cover the costs for 30 friends and family.
Southwest turned its departure gate into a reception venue, complete with balloons and a band.
The newlyweds saw to it that the strangers on their flight were treated well, ensuring that refreshments passed out by the 4-year-old flower girl made the rounds during the flight.
There’s even video of the unconventional wedding.
And Stewart live-tweeted the event.
