One of the things I learned far too late in my college career is that simply going to class isn’t enough to make you the learned scholar higher education is supposed to mold you into.
If you’re going to put in the effort to attend, you might as well pay attention — you might even learn something while you’re at it.
You can stare at your phone and read commentary on stupid pictures the entire lecture, but you’re not going to get much out of it.
Maybe the kid in this picture thinks it’s possible to learn by osmosis, but in my experience, bringing a pillow and blanket to lecture and falling asleep in the aisle won’t magically propel you to the top of the class.
I’d say, “At least he tried,” but he probably shouldn’t have even bothered.
