We’re all familiar with the movie “Babe,” the Oscar-winning film about a pig who was raised to be a sheepdog, and while Olive the pig doesn’t herd any sheep, she definitely thinks she’s a pup. Why? Well, she’s grown up with three best doggie friends.
Olive was adopted by a couple who own a farm in Sydney, Australia. The pig’s mom Alissa is a photographer and her popular Instagram account documents the adventures of her eight-month-old oinker and the three dogs that love her like a sister.
She might be a pig, but these dogs agree that Olive belongs in their pack, rather than a pen.

Life on the Childs’ farm is pretty exciting, especially if you have friends like Tilly the English bulldog.

Or Alfie the Boston terrier.

Rounding out the fearsome foursome is Lola the French bulldog.

When the four of them get together, things can get a bit rowdy.

But at the end of the day, there’s nothing the gang likes better than settling into a nice cuddle.

Olive is always there for her doggie friends, even when life gets ruff.

One of her favorite recent memories was when Olive and her siblings got to announce a new addition to the family!

Some people think pigs are messy, but they’re actually quite sophisticated. They can be taught tricks and insist on keeping their waste separate from where they sleep (unlike even some dogs I know).

Cleanliness is actually pretty important to pigs, which is why it helps that Olive knows a French (bulldog) maid.

One of these may not look like the others, but in their hearts, they’re all the same…and that’s all that matters!

Studies have shown that even though we commonly treat pigs as food, they are actually cognitively similar to dogs, which is why Olive found a family in her three puppy pals. To see more of the gang’s hijinks, follow Alissa on Instagram.
