The way Lady Gaga and former fianc Taylor Kinney ended their relationship continues to make the rest of us sad nobodies long for their reunion.
During a visit to The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM, the Million Reasons singer said shes still very close with Taylor.
When the host clarified Taylor was Gagas ex-boyfriend, she claimed,
I dont like to use labels like that ex or together.
Gaga and the Chicago Fire star dated for four years before he proposed on Valentines Day 2015.
In July, she announced via Instagram theyd be taking a break.
The Golden Globe winner told Stern,
I hate to sound like a hippie, but I kind of am one We love each other. Thats it.
Gagas new album, Joanne, dropped Friday and, although its title is dedicated to the artists aunt (who suffered from Lupus prior to her death at the age of 19), a number of songs address aspects of Gagasrelationship with her long-term lover.
Luckily, the calm that washes over us when we stare into (a picture of) Taylor Kinneys sleepy raincloud eyeballs is totally indicative of his personality. Hes just a cool guy whos cool about everything, and thats honestly so cool of him.
Gaga admitted herself she considers it pretty fucking cool that over the years, no matter what creative transformation [shes]gone through, hes always been very supportive.
She added,
Theres a lot on this record inspired by our relationship, and hes super supportive of me expressing myself artistically Hes been my lover and my friend for a really long time. Hes been so supportive of the album, and I support him on his show.
Dang, theyre mature.
Stern did ask the American Horror Story: Roanoke actress whether shed be happy for Kinney if he began dating someone new.
She said,
Im not going to fucking throw a party!
A-doy.
