I wish I could remember the last time my mind wasn’t moving at 100 mph, and I had a straight answer as to what I want to do with my life. But, I can’t. It’s not because I’m an unorganized hot mess with no drive or motivation; it’s simply because I’m the stereotypical Gemini.
This zodiac sign is better known as having a dual nature, which is symbolized by twins. This doesn’t mean a Gemini is two-faced or not to be trusted. Think of the sign as flexible and adaptable. We are better at accepting change, communicating and weathering any storm.
I could spend a lot of time planning ahead for my future, but I know there is only so much of it that will actually come to fruition.
Just like my sign, these are the reasons I’ll never settle down:
1. The Wheels In My Head
Someone once told me I should give meditation a try to ground my thoughts. I gave it one try, two tries and then 20 tries, but I could not sit down for more than 30 seconds without needing to open my eyes and acknowledge my thoughts. My mind is always going a million miles a minute, and it needs to be stimulated in many different ways.
This means I love getting to know new people and experience things outside of my day-to-day life. If you want me to settle down, you’re chasing the wrong girl.
2. The Uninteresting People
Engaging in small talk makes me feel like I’m dying very, very slowly. There is nothing I hate more than a conversation with no depth. I try to find the good in everyone, but I usually have a pretty good idea of whether or not I will be bored by someone upon our first meeting.
So, if you want me to wait around and slowly get to know you better, it probably won’t happen. I’m already on to bigger and better things.
3. The Need For Adventure
I just moved to a new city about six months ago. Every time I’m asked the question whether or not I will stay here for the rest of my life, my answer is always the same. Who knows? If anybody does, please let me know.
Just like my sign, I’m not trying to plan out my future with anybody just yet. So many things can change with time, and I might not be in the same city, country or even profession in five years time. I want to see the world and experience everything I can while I still can. Don’t try to tie a Gemini down.
4. The Uncertainty
There’s always “more”out there. I’ve experienced enough in my life to know this to be true, and my intuition has never failed me. Like I said before, you can never be 100 percent certain of anything in this life. So, why try to control your fate?
Geminis love following whatever new, exciting things come into their lives. We go with the flow, and we embrace the unknown. That’s what life is all about.
5. The Need For Independence
There is a difference between being lonely and being alone. As a Gemini, I’ve been blessed with the fact I’m perfectly content with being alone, and I never feel lonely. I value my independence, and I wouldn’t give it up for anything in the world.
If I don’t want to go where my new partner is going, I’m not going. If there’s a party at my house and I’m tired, you can find me in my bed. There’s no use trying to control me or convince me to do something I don’t want to it. Gemini-born people are the most independent in the zodiac, and we don’t ask for approval to go after what we want.
I sometimes think about what I would be like as a different sign. Would I be more decisive? Would I be less easy-going? Would I still wear my heart on my sleeve? It’s hard to know because, well, I’m a Gemini.
Whoever chooses to settle down with me is in for an exciting, passionate and life-changing relationship. The person will be stuck with the impossible task of keeping things interesting 24/7, but I know there will never be a dull moment.
As I always say before committing to a plan, I’m not in unless it’s guaranteed to be fun. When the time is right, I may settle down, but for now, I’m too busy being a Gemini.Click here for reuse options!
