Meet little Mieps, she is my guinea pig and I love taking photos of her! Especially because she is ridiculously photogenic, she looks better in photos than I do! It’s not fair…
I must admit that I spend a little more time on her photos than on my own. I usually create these photos in my backyard or in my DIY studio (see photo below). With a tiny bit of Photoshop magic, these images are the results!
The props I use in my photos are made by me or I found them at budget stores, flea markets or secondhand stores. My father and I are going ”treasure hunting” every Sunday. Sometimes we come home with nothing, most of the time I find amazing things like beautiful books or pretty tea cups.
If you want to start taking photos of your pet, please be patient with them. Just go with the flow, they cannot possibly know what you want from him or her. Earn their trust, the result will be that they trust you. I hope that is what shines through in my photos.
