This Cheap Kitchen Makeover Cost Only $100, But It Looks Amazing!

Having roommates can be one of the most frustrating living situations ever.

I moved in with a couple of friends when I was younger, but that only lasted for about two months. Not only did they go into my room without my permission, but they never cleaned up after themselves. I always wanted to make our house look organized and pretty, but that wasn’t really possible with slobs hanging around.

Redditor NotElizaHenry knows my experience all too well. She even got rid of her messy roommate so that she could have the kitchen of her dreams! Two weekends and $100 later, she’d transformed her boring kitchen into a beautiful space.

She hated how the room looked while she was living with her messy roommate, so she first got right to work on scrubbing everything clean.

Then she primed and painted the insides of her cabinet doors.

After sanding and priming everything else, she added two coats of paint to the cabinets and the walls. It was already looking much brighter!

Next, she bought inexpensive flooring and used a piece of plywood to help her cut the planks evenly.

With all of the pieces cut to size, she began laying out the pattern.

When she pulled the vinyl baseboards off, she was greeted with this delightful sight.

But she pressed on and kept laying out the flooring, going over everything with her rolling pin.

The planks stuck easily thanks to the adhesive that was already attached to the bottom.

After she glued some new baseboards to the walls, the floor looked amazing.

There were a few gaps between planks, but she found a perfect solution.

She only needed to spend a few dollars on some brown caulk to fill the gaps easily.

Now she has a seriously beautiful kitchen.

Can you believe how amazing this turned out after only a couple of weekends of work?

Something tells me that NotElizaHenry is going to keep that kitchen looking gorgeous. If you love what she did with this space and want to replicate it yourself, you can find the full instructions here.
