As days of protests in Hong Kong stretch into a week, Chinese activists are making sure to clean up after themselves.
Twitter is abuzz with reports of the organized, peaceful protests being run by a group called Occupy Central with Love and Peace.
Images show young protestors scrubbing graffiti from walls and shop fronts. A system of trash collection is in place, and eyewitnesses even reported hearing applause after bags were tied and thrown into the heap.
And it doesn’t stop there. Protestors have even been sorting out recyclables like plastic water bottles.
The photos are a testament to a protest that wants to make the news for its pro-democracy cause, not its violence and filth.
