Less responsible states are those whose drinkers consume less alcohol yet are involved in more alcohol-related traffic fatalities.
This map provides a measure of responsibility: the amount of alcohol consumption related to the number of alcohol-related traffic fatalities. Responsibility is presented as a function of color: Light purple represents less responsible states, while dark purple represents more responsible states.
