We already have personal “communicators” and “PADD” devices, but those aren’t the only “Star Trek” technologies scientists and engineers are currently working on. In case you were wondering why investing in science and technology is so important … well, who wouldn’t want a cloaking device? Or a replicator? Or, you know, the ability to get your yearly shot without having to deal with needles? Personally, I just can’t wait until we get the biotechnology to breed Tribbles. They’re so fluffy!
