Rescue Dog Without Vocal Cords Barks In His Own Unique Way

And he’s so grateful that his forever parents found him when they did.

You see, the adorable Airedale terrier was brought to the U.S. from the Ukraine to be a stud for breeding show dogs.

Unfortunately, a genetic eye problem prevented them from breeding him.

So his family gave him up. He was sadly passed around from home to home — one cruel family had the pup debarked, removing his vocal cords so he couldn’t bark. Then he wound up with J Wagner.

Thankfully, Marshall hasn’t let his past slow him down.

His forever family absolutely adores all his quirks…and how could you not love this?!

In a Reddit post, Marshall’s parents explain that debarking a dog is a terrible practice, “The scar tissue in his throat occasionally gets irritated and he makes sad sniffling noises.” Their vet keeps an eye on the issue, though.

Thankfully, this poor boy’s past is behind him and he gets to live out the rest of his days in a happy home with parents who love him.
