MTA Brings Out Old-School Trains For 110th Anniversary Of NYC Subway (Photos)

In honor of the New York City subway system’s 110th anniversary, the MTA decided to pay homage to the older subways.

The MTA rolled out some of the oldest trains dating back to the 1960s (some even older) and commuters had a chance to experience these historic artifacts in person.

If you’ve been in New York City for a while, you might remember some of the red 7 trains that used to operate between Manhattan and Queens.

If you don’t remember these trains, or weren’t around to experience a ride on one of them, you’ll still be blown away by how different they are from the modern trains currently gracing the rails.

Regardless, they’re pretty awesome to look at. As a matter of fact, they’re so awesome, Google created a virtual tour just so you can get the full experience.
