he only thing that Marvel editor Heather Antos did was grab a milkshake with a few coworkers on a Friday afternoon and tweet about it on the Internet. That’s it.
Then the Internet’s comic-loving, woman-hating trolls ATTACKED.
Heather and a few of her female Marvel coworkers took a few minutes on a Friday afternoon to grab quick milkshakes.
She tweeted about their outing using hashtag #FabulousFlo, honoring Stan Lee’s late-first assistant Flo Steinberg who recently passed away.
Innocent, right? WRONG said a raging swarm of Twitter trolls.
During the next few days, Heather’s Twitter feed and inbox started overflowing with hate from vicious trolls all unbelievable incensed by the sheer thought of women working in comics.
Most of the hate seems to have since been removed, but many name-called Heather and her coworkers, “Fake Geek Girls” and “SJWs.”
SJWs means social justice warriors, if you’re not in the Alt-Right know.
Can someone please get these trolls something better to do than weigh in on a milkshake outing!? Did we mention that this drama is all over milkshakes!?!?!
Countless trolls implied that these women were the sole catalyst responsible for transforming their beloved comics into feminist propaganda.
Which, by the way…is that even really happening?
Movie-wise, Captain America, Iron Man,andThor will have all already released three solo movies EACH before Captain Marvel’s first.
Also, where’s Black Widow’s solo epic? Y’all know that gal would SLAY in the spotlight.
In any case, within a few days, Heather had ENOUGH of all the hate.
She responded to haters with these three swift tweets.
Can’t you just feel the heartbreak. I hate watching people lose faith in the Internet.
Her comments perfectly encapsulate the utter absurdity of all this drama.
Trolling a milkshake run is ridiculous.
Still, those haters wouldn’t quit…
