Pebble Smart Watch Headed to AT&T

Pebble-watch-4

Pebble is coming to AT&T.

Already available at Best Buy stores and online, AT&T will be the exclusive mobile carrier to sell the device. The watch is expected to hit 500 of AT&T’s retail stores on Sept. 27, coming to more stores in October.

As a smart watch, Pebble connects to your iPhone or Android device and brings some of your phones notifications to your wrist. Things like text messages, Caller ID and even emails can be displayed on the watch, giving you the opportunity to see them and determine whether or not your need to want to respond without pulling your phone out of your pocket.

Music controls also give you the ability to control tunes being played from your phone, whether you’re listening through headphones or a separate sound system.

You can customize the watch with a number of different available watch faces. The Pebble has many third-party apps (such as RunKeeper), and more are coming to the device all the time.

Pebble got its start as a Kickstarter campaign last year. Exceptionally popular, the company raised more than $8 million on Kickstarter, and later went on to raise $15 million more.
