Kitten therapy — therapy with kittens! — now exists. Of course, we already know that nearly every problem can be solved with a kitten cuddle sesh, but not everyone owns a cat of his or her own — or perhaps, one cat (or two or three) just isn’t enough to heal those emotional wounds.
Kitten therapy, however, is the answer to virtually all of life’s problems. Imagined by Soul Pancake and Purina, the idea is simple: Stressed participants can enter Purina’s outdoor “relaxation room,” where they are surprised with tiny little kitten friends.
“Patients” can stay and play with the cats until their stress has melted away, and a trainer watches from nearby to ensure the kittens’ safety.
Better still: The kitties involved are all from a local shelter, and by pairing them up with people for “therapy,” the little ones have a better chance of getting adopted.
Sadly, the kitty therapy was only available for a short time in downtown Los Angeles as part of a video stunt and performance for SoulPancake.
