September 11 is a day of reflection.
Thirteen years after the horrific event, just the thought sends chills down my spine. People are quieter today, each lost in his or her own memories.
To observe the day that changed the US forever, the guards at Buckingham Palace did something very surprising. During the changing of the guards, the band played “The Star Spangled Banner.”
As passersby wiped tears away, the British government honored their “special relationship” with the United States on what is arguably the most terrible day in our recent history.
