Memphis officer shot and killed while sitting in his car

A Memphis police officer was shot and killed earlier today, reportedly while sitting inside his car:

WREG reports a suspect is in custody.

Details are still coming in, but the officer’s uncle says Olridge was in his uniform and on his way to work when he was killed:

Officer Olridge is the second Memphis officer killed in the past three months:

Awful. Fox News reports that officer Olridgehas been with the department since 2014 and his fiance is 4 months pregnant.
