Popsinger Kesha’s ongoing struggles with her producer Dr. Luke have gained a lot ofattentionfrom the media,and other celebrities, as of late – and with good reason.
The producer is accused of raping and abusing Kesha, butthe courts have ordered Kesha to remain contractually obliged to him and Sony music.
Since then, there have been rumours of Sony dropping Dr. Luke, or allowing Kesha to leave her contract – but neither have yet to come to fruition and now Kesha has taken to Instagram to make a statement about a further development in the situation.

Posted with a close up picture of her face, she wrote:
‘so. I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie. I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again.’
It is presumed this is in reference to the ongoing legal drama surrounding herself and Dr. Luke.
Kesha has since filed paperworkto have an appeals court re-examine the February courtdecision that keepsher locked in her contract with Sony Music and Dr. Luke.
Her fans are hoping that all of the negative media around the case and outpourings of public support may persuade Sony to drop the contract.
