England’s World Cup opener against Italy is fast approaching, and with it kicking off on a Saturday night it couldn’t have worked out much better. We will be taking to the pubs, our friends house, and our own living rooms in our millions. But, whatever you do, try and avoid these England fans.
* Those who, after England win one group game, start telling everyone “England will win the World Cup, you heard it here first.”
* Those who call into a phone- and say things such as ”Barkley is a good little player who can run around.”
* Those who only want the players from the club team they support to do well.
* Those who think Terry Butcher/Paul Ince’s head wound was England’s finest hour.
* Those who think John Terry not being in the squad is political correctness gone mad.
* Those who, after one loss say, “Bring them home, they’re a disgrace to the country.”
