Mike Webb, a congressional candidate, clearly wan’t aware of the cardinal rule when it comes to screenshots: checking your screen for incriminating tabs, favourites or icons before you take them.
It follows the rule about going to the loo. Always check your back pockets before whipping down your trousers…. or is that just me?
Anyway, back to the point.Mike took a screen shot of his desktop, posting it to Facebook. And the most embarrassing part wasn’t that he uses Yahoo,he had forgotten to close his first two tabs which were ‘Layla Rivera tight body‘ and ‘Ivone sexy amateur‘. Yikes.
In true form, the people ofFacebook were quick to point out the blunder – and instead of hiding in shame,Mike put up another post thanking them for the heads up.
He also acknowledged the fact that his simple human error lead to his Facebook reach rising, because you know; all press is good press.
He said: “Lessons affirmed today include that we do expect our leaders to be examples of our highest ideals, but also, as we have seen for almost a year in non-traditional length posts, people are interested and motivated by truth and substance, not flash or even scandal. In the month preceding the nomination convention, our following on Twitter grew at a rate of 50%, but today, in just one day on Facebook, we grew in page likes by 25%.”
So… it was a marketing campaign? Risky. Maybe he even has an agreement with ‘Layla Rivera’…
There we go, kids. Don’t share your porn habits. Not unless it boosts your Facebook page, anyway!
