It’s hard to believe that there exists a more convoluted system of government than we’re currently using, but things were definitely worse back in the day. One might even say things were … royally screwed? OK, it’s not the greatest joke you’ve ever heard, but I should get points for poignancy. If someone out there in Internet-land comes up with a better joke than royally screwed, I promise to switch it out immediately.
