Thanks to the Internet, and the charitable work of YouTuber Ryan Mitchell, a cover of Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” now exists, created using nothing but screams from beloved blockbusters.
The screams come from films like Home Alone, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Shining and a handful of other gems.
The case was originally settled out of court, but in 2001, Lewis broke the terms of that contract when he spoke to VH1’s Behind the Music, and Parker filed suit.
The anthem-like chorus in Aerosmith’s “Full Circle” borrows many of its characteristic from Skynyrd’s “Tuesday’s Gone” as well as the lead guitar that plays through the verses.
The afrobeat that lays the base under both of these tunes is nothing out of the ordinary, but the stacked vocal melodies that happen over them sounds far too familiar for this to be a coincidence.
Satriani claims that his lead guitar line was used as the vocal melody in Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”. Once pointed out, it’s hard not to hear the Coldplay song over Satriani’s.
Copycat or homage? The intro and verse to “Waiting” has the exact same melody as the chorus from “Downtown.” Billy Joe even starts the verse with the word, “Downtown”.

It’s hard to not notice the similarities in the chord progression and strumming pattern in the intros and verses of these two songs, never mind the nearly identical snare fills that start out both tracks.
